Chatuchak Weekend Market

Location: downtown of Bangkok.

Opening time: Friday - Sunday: 7:00 - 18:00; Wednesday - Thursday: 7:00 - 18:00, and the Botanical Garden is open.

Admission fee: free.

How to get there: You can take the light rail and get down at the Mo Chit Stop, or take the subway get down at Chatuchak Park Stop; you can take the No. 3 Public Bus to Mo Chi; you can also take the No. 29 normal bus or No.59 airconditioned bus from the Bangkok International Airport to Mo Chi.

It is the world’s largest weekend market, and a must go shopping-place for the foreign tourists to spend their weekends in Bangkok. Here you can bargain for almost everything to get your items in a nice local price (not the price for tourists). There are over 9 000 stores there, including household articles, handicrafts, clothes, decorations, pets, plants and etc. You can find everything you want here. You can constantly discover something quite creative and impressive if you are patient enough or good at bargaining.
